Have quite enjoyed this series, I was a big fan of Tomorrows World growing up and I miss having regular science shows on the BBC so I was glad to see this commissioned.
OK some of it’s a bit cheesy, they’ve tried to present it in a ‘modern’ way by having scripted ‘chats’ about the items which can make it seem a bit Blue Peter-y. And the guy Dallas – hmm bit drippy.

Got my Wave invite today, courtesy of Dave. First impressions? Hmm, well it’s not revolutionary, I mean you can do stuff and edit stuff live which is pretty good. It’s a bit like a cross between Google Docs and an email client really. So for Google it’s not revolutionary but for anyone that hasn’t used collaborative online tools it will seem like it is.
Will it replace email, IM, etc? Not until it’s opened up a bit. Imagine you could only email other people using the same ISP, it’s like that at the moment – you can only contact people with Google accounts (and at the moment Google accounts enabled for Google Wave).
Still it’s a bit limited right now as I only know 2 other people on it and i’ve not been given any invites.Category web | Tags: | No Comments
