I haven’t watched a DVD in six months. Thanks, Netflix? – Ars Technica.

I’ve been a member of Love Film since I was at uni, I probably signed up in about 2004 and it was great, I used to watch a different film before I even got up for the day and maybe another one later. They had deals on and it was pretty cheap.

But last month I found out that the laser in my PS3 had gone, how long it’d been like that I don’t know. I just don’t use it for reading discs all that often. I can stream stuff on BT Vision or playback from it’s DVR, watch stuff off a USB stick on the playstation. Who needs DVD’s anymore?
